Saturday...

The Garden Party

Well have just got back- we were there for hours. It was looooovely!! Nahid's family are all adorable (she has 5 siblings), her mum had cooked the most amazing food, and the house and grounds are gorgeous (they have a huuuge duck pond and all different little gardens- my kinda house!)

Had some lovely chats with her family- they are all quite academic, so much for a day off! and also sat with Liba (Czech bead lady) and my boss and her hubbie. There was sooooo much food! They came round with little pastries with pumpkin filling and other nibbles and I thought "that's it", but they were just the canapes- eeek. To follow there were all sorts of salads, meats, veggie stuff, naan type bread things and stuffed pasta...all amazing. Then for afters baklava and cakes! I am totally stuffed now!

Anyhow, Nahid is moving out to the US as they have a house out there in NJ within spitting distance of a ski slope!!!!! So I have invited myself out there for a visit next season- yaaaaayyyy. I also bagged a little trip to Prague in August to see Liba while she's out there (more bead shopping)

Came home to a very excited Gemma, who is now gazing adoringly at me...bless

Ho hum- a lovely day, but am knackered, so early night methinks xx
