Well the hole in my foot is still there and stil hurting (jumped off a fence onto a nail for those of you not in the know)

Neer mind- went to the ballet yesterday, which was lovely- Dancing was superb, sets and costumes amazing, music fab

Then I met J and went for a bit of shopping- bought a new coat in that check pattern everyone's wearing (sheep me) and a cute bag, then we went to Chinatown for a meal and back home for early night nights

Up at ridiculous hour this morning to muck out 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10...11 stables and ride the Phoebster, who was a cow again *grrrr*

Then came back for a hot bath (was v wet and cold) and with the intention of playing with some beads, in actual fact have sat on my fat bum doing bugger all!!

Monday again tomorrow....bah- 3 hour lecture in the morning *yawn* then I have to take 2 tablets and collect my wee for the next 8 hours- all do determine my acetylator phenotype...the things I do for science eh??

little update

I'm baaaackk

Not sure how long it will last though, I am soooo crap at this

Students are all back this week, so it has been a bit hectic- did 2 lectures yesterday- one on pharmacology and one on very basic chemistry (the only chemistry I'm capable of teaching)

Have a few nice things to look forward to though- going to "our place in the sun" at the NEC tomorrow with the outlaws, who want to get some more property- will be nice to have a nosy

Then on Saturday, I am riding the Phoebster in the am and going to the ballet in the afternoon with a friend from work. I *think* it's Romeo and Juliet, but can't remember

Theeeennn on Wednesday, I am going to the horse of the year show

Planning a bit of a chill out for the weekend after a bit of a mad past week. Had 2 packages waiting for me yesterday when I got home- some (more) crystals from Fan-uk on ebay- gorgeous 6mm swarovwotsit butterflies and 4mm bicones and some wine glass charm ring things, so will be having a play, no doubt! Am expecting another package of crafty things to make xmas cards as my imagination and creativity seem to have gone on holiday!

Riding wise..a bit mixed. Phoebe was going soooo well until Sunday when she had a little (or big) paddy and tried to put me on the floor!! Hormones methinks....and she was showing off in front of her new boys *trollop* Mind you, we did do our first jump (very small though)

Rode Guinness the other day and he is lovely- if a little big for me

Penster is still ticking along nicely- she even galloped the other day *gasp*


Think that's about it from Lucyland....

John's birthday

Today and flipping Next Directory haven't delivered his pressies (shoes and a watch)

So dashing around last night buying him things to wrap for him to open this am

He's on call all weekend, so not sure I can even take him out

Other news- I am in charge of Ivy's horses for a week as from today- eeeekkk - just hoping nothing goes wrong.

Phoeb is going there, probably on my birthday, to be turned into a posh show pony...or something and while I ride their horse over the winter

Not sure what to do about counselling course....£1500 for the year.....

Sooooo sorry for neglecting you Mr Blog!! I have been rather busy!

'Tis soooo hot in work today. Thankfully we have a room held at 4 degrees for storing chemicals and other bits you really don't want to know about!! so when it gets unbearable, I can go and stand in there!

You just don't feel like doing anything this weather though. I have the urge to go and dive into a cold swimming pool- wonder which one of our stupidly rich neighbours has one and whether they'd mind me descending upon them???

It's waaay too hot to ride, for her and me :(

Anyhow, enough moaning...this week's plans....

Need to organise a BBQ for Wed afternoon, shouldn't be too difficult and will rope one of the men into cooking as they like that kinda thing don't they??

Need to get hair cut, fringe is driving me nuts and I have roots (whose stupid idea was it to get foils done?)

Need to do 2 photo albums for brides

and some jewellery for another bride

and some samples for 2 more brides

Have a bigger BBQ on Saturday at home, but Sat day I am taking a 4-yo to Cadbury world (cue lots of melted chocolate) so the mothership will have to help with that

I'm sure there was loads more besides

Must watch silent witness again tonight- last night's was fab, but sooooo untrue to life, I promise

Anyway, am wittering now, must go and do some work :P

How much??????

Agggghhhh

We were just challenged on the horsey forum to tot up how much out horses cost per week, on average and I have worked out that mine cost about £250 *thud* per week!!!

Granted Penny isn't the cheapest pony to run with her expensive meds, but £1000 a month- how many pairs of shoes could that buy??

Anyhow...swiftly changing the subject...

The weekend
Finishing work at lunchtime today (yay) and have a lesson this afternoon. John!!! organised it and organised Rayn to box up pony and bring her over to meet me. AND he's booked tha afternoon off work!! (when obviously the NHS will grind to a screeching halt) to come and watch and video me!! (what's he after I wonder?)
Then- Rayn is taking me back with her so I can see the Penster and then we are going to the pub for a well earned drinky poos. John will collect me at about 8 and we'll take an Indian home and snuggle up

Tomorrow- need to sort out MIL's birthday pressie for Tuesday, then schooling Phobe and bathing her ready for Sunday. may even get taken out tomorrow night (who knows?)

Sunday - the show *eek*. I keep telling myself that I'm only going for a pootle round...

Slight problemo- my new boots still haven't arrived! At this rate, I'll be competing in my slippers

Oh and I am quite pleased with myself having just finished packaging an order for 78! items of jewellery ready for dropping it off today

Right, had better go and get ready for work, being as it's just a fleeting visit!!

Sorry I'm getting a bit boring now- but I am soooooo in love with that little pone- she's such a star!!

Have just been to Alvechurch show, just for a mooch (on foot) and to be honest, there wasn't a lot going on. Saw Phoebe's old owner and we had a chat, watched the jumping for a bit. At least now I can watch people compete and not get upset about losing Billie..I still think "what if?" though ;(

But onwards and upwards and working on my new little superstar!!

Am meeting some people off a horse forum on the internet later *wibble* You meet some right weirdos on the www you know (hehe)

Apart form that have lots to do- 20 birth announcements for my mother's best friend's daughter who had a baba yesterday, quite a few bits of jewellery, 40 male cards and can't remember what else..

Oh and John canme home this am, still drunk with a hole in his head where he's fallen over his mates wall last night *tsk*

Not much to report this end except my new show jacket arrived today and is a perfect fit- just as long as my boobies don't grow or anything!! Phoeb is coming home on Friday, all being well. I just need to get her kitted out in a saddle....but I think rich MIL is treating her to one!

Am in charge of a bbq tomorrow night...the words "piss up" and "brewery" spring to mind..ho hum, we shall see
